Our Tutors


Samantha Lo

Samantha Lo is a graduate from the University of Toronto (St. George Campus)
with an Honours Bachelors of Science degree. She holds her Bachelors of Educa-
tion degree from Lakehead
University in the Intermediate/Senior (Grades 9-12)
divisions for Biology and General Science.
She has been a primary school Science
& English and secondary school Biology & English tutor with CAST (Children's
Aid Society of Toronto) for the past 5 years. With CAST, she has had extensive
experience tutoring students of all socioeconomic satuses, and she is most
commended for her work with students of special needs, ESL, and anger
management.



Phillip Filippeos


Phillip Filippeos graduated from York University with an Honours
Bachelors of Arts in Applied Mathematics and Religious Studies.
He holds a Bachelors of Education degree from the University of
Ottawa in the Intermediate/Senior (Grades 9-12) divisions for
Mathematics and Religious Studies. Phillip also holds Additional
Qualifications (ABQs) in teaching ESL, and Primary/Junior (Grade 1-8)
students. Finally, Phillip holds a Specialist Qualification (Specialist
ABQ) in teaching Special Education. Phillip has been a high school
teacher since 2009, and has taught grade 9, 10, 11, and 12 Mathematics.


John Filippeos


John Filippeos is a graduate from the University of Toronto (St.
George Campus) and currently enrolled at the Ontario Institute for Studies
in Education at the University of Toronto
. He has been a member of the
University of Toronto's Tutoring Program 'Project: Universal Minds' since 2011
where he tutors Biology, Earth & Space Science, and Mathematics at the
Central Technical High School. He has also been tutoring and teaching
Science and Mathematics at Westview Centennial High school since 2011.
Additionally, he has experience creating lesson plans and practice exam
worksheets for Science teachers at Unionville High School from 2008-2009
and at W.C.H.S from 2011 to the present. Finally, John tutored primary
school mathematics and english from 2006 to 2008 privately in his students'
homes.
